⦁ The Hairs on your Head are numbered
HAU Berlin, 2018
Space / Costumes
While a growing number of people are enjoying using life tracking to monitor and analyse their own bodies at every turn and communicate in social networks, an avant-garde is having chips implanted under their skin for their own optimisation.
The Hairs on your Head are numbered turns bodies into a stage: using complex technologies, reprogrammed for the theatre situation, the needs and deficits of the body become tangible in the digital amplification.
The stage design contrasts these technological process with irrational baroque objects and framed screens, decorated with ornaments derived of gluttonous food to give a playful presence to what is excluded and banned from the sphere of the spaces of self optimization.
